TeamBinder chosen for Nam Theun 1 Hydro Power Project in Laos

TeamBinder has been chosen by Finland-based consulting and engineering firm Poyry for the Nam Theun 1 (NT1) Hydro Power Project in Laos.

TeamBinder was selected because it meets the requirements of a hydro power project, in particular, managing correspondence and use of the Forms and Project Gallery modules.

Additionally, Poyry's previous experience with TeamBinder in similar power and energy projects is the key reason Poyry selected TeamBinder for NT1.

Russell Mortimer, CEO of QA Software said: "TeamBinder is proving to be the number one solution that clients are turning to for those complex projects often in remote locations.

"As well, the Technical department's innovation capability coupled with the Project Delivery team's enthusiastic approach to implementation and training ensures the success of a project from Go Live."

Poyry was awarded a contract by the Phonesack Group (PSG) to provide owner's engineering services for the 670-MW hydroelectric plant located on the Nam Kading River approximately 33 km upstream from its confluence with the Mekhong River in Laos' Borikhamxai province.

PSG has a long history in Laos diversifying into multiple industries with expertise in a wide range of fields and the government of Laos' ambition is to become 'the battery of South East Asia' by harnessing its natural resources in order to aid economic growth and social development with a view to lifting Laotians out of poverty.
